ROUTE SUMMARY

Day 1: Cusco – Sacred Valley

Our tour starts from the archaeological site. It is an important place of Inca culture and contains ancient ruins that show the advanced architecture and technology of the Inca times. We end up at the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo and there we rest.

Day 2: km 104 – Winay Huayna – Aguas Calientes

It begins in the town of km 104, near Machu Picchu, and ends in the city of Cusco. Along the way, you can see Inca ruins, impressive landscapes, and Andean villages. After exploring. We will go down to Aguas Calientes and there you will spend the night in your hotel.

Day 3: Machu Picchu – Cusco

We woke up very early to get on the bus to the control and then we entered Machu Picchu, we will have time to explore. We will know the history of the Incas. And we return to Cusco, around 6:30 pm, you will be at your hotel.

Day 1 :

Cusco – Valle Sagrado

We will pick you up around 07:00 hrs in the morning with our private van. Our first stop will be at the archaeological site of Pisac where you can see an immense Inca cemetery with more than 2000 tombs and learn about the incredible terraces used in agriculture during the Inca period. Then we head to the Urubamba valley where you will have a delicious lunch, we continue with our excursion until we reach the archaeological site of Maras Moray. This place has three amphitheater type terraces made by the Incas and used for agricultural production. Then we will visit the salt mines known as “the greenhouses of the Incas”, an ancient salt production center in pre-Inca times. Next, we will travel to the archaeological park where you will learn about the incredible architecture of the temple of the sun. After exploring, we will board our train to Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night at the hotel designated by the agency.

Day 2 :

cusco – km 104 –winay huayna – machu picchu – aguas calientes

Our guide We pick you up together with private transportation from your hotel in Ollantaytambo at 05:30 am, and then we go to the town of Ollantaytambo. For all the travelers who make the short Inca trail of 2 days. We recommend you stay the day before in the Valle Sagrado, in a hotel closest to the train station, our team will pick you up from the hotel.

From Cusco it is a trip of 1 hour and 30 minutes, to the Ollantaytambo train station, where we will board our train and travel to km 104 (chachabamba), once we arrive there and head towards the control of the Inca trail 2 days, keep in mind that you must take your passport to pass the control, there you will have time to prepare for the walk.

Our first stop will be at a site called Chachabamba, where your guide will explain about the history of the Incas and the Inca Trail, after exploring the famous Inca site, we will continue along the ancient roads, which was abandoned in the 16th century.

The short Inca trail hike lasts 4 hours until you reach Winay Huayna “the place that never gets old”, it is a beautiful place on the Inca trail, there you will have to explore an archaeological site with beautiful views of the Peruvian Andes. There you will have organic lunch, after enjoying lunch we continue our walk to Puerta del Sol (intipunku), you will be able to see the lost city of the Incas with beautiful views.

After having a nice experience we will go down by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night in our 3-star hotel,

Day 3 :

Aguas calientes - Machu Picchu – Cusco

Our last day of the short Inca trail, after eating the delicious breakfast, our guide will go to your hotel to pick you up. Then we will board our bus to the control gate.

Once we pass the control, your guide will spend around 2 hours explaining about the highlights, the stories, mysteries and incredible Inca technology. Then you will have time to explore on your own or take additional hikes such as Huayna Picchu or Montaña Picchu; To enter you must book in advance. After exploring we will take the bus to Aguas Calientes, there you will have your lunch (not included). After enjoying, we will board our train back to Ollantaytambo, our private van will pick you up from the train station back to Cusco, you will be at your hotel around 06:30 in the afternoon.
