Laguna 69 (02 Days)

We depart from the City of Huaraz (City of mountaineers) towards Yungay which is a historic city after the earthquake that occurred in the year 70. Along the way we will pass through some small towns. After a few hours we will observe two beautiful lagoons: Chinancocha (female lagoon) and Oroconcocha (Male lagoon), which are located in the llanganuco ravine. We continue until we reach Yuraccorral where we will begin our walk.
Yuraccorral is a spectacular place to start our hike. We will start walking along a small path that will take us to the base camp or refuge. Where we will spend the night. On the way we will be able to observe magnificent views such as the snow-capped Huascaran, chopicalqui, Yanapaccha, chacraraju, pisco and the huandoys. 2 -3 hrs approx.

This day we start our hike very early towards Laguna 69, breakfast at 6:30 am then at 7 am we start walking along a stretch of moraine then we start climbing up to the pass that has a height of 5900 m. Where we appreciate a magnificent view of the majestic Nevado Chacraraju and other mountains. From there we begin to descend until we reach lagoon 69.
In lagoon 69 we will have adequate time to enjoy its landscape and nature. Today it has become one of the most visited lagoons in the Cordillera Blanca due to its color and its surrounding landscape.
Then we will start descending along a path that is quite used by the tours offered by most companies. Until we reach Yuraccorral where our transport awaits us. Return to Huaraz.
